What is a multi-shot cake?

A cake is a box of tubes joined by one fuse. Light it once and it fires a sequence of shots, which makes it the easiest way to put on a long display safely, since you only approach it once. The number in the name is the number of shots:

What is the difference between a bomb and a wala?

A bomb is a single cracker that gives one loud bang; the sutli bomb is wrapped tightly in thread. A wala, or ladi, is a long chain of small crackers joined by one fuse that go off in rapid succession. The number is the count of crackers in the chain. Our loud ground items are Classic Bomb (10 pcs), the big green thread bomb, 1000 Wala (1 pc) and 5000 Wala (1 pc). Lay walas out flat and straight on open ground. See prices for bombs and walas.

Which crackers are best for kids?

Sparklers, flower pots and ground chakkars are the usual choice for children, because they are quiet or mild and stay on the ground or in the hand. Even these burn very hot: a sparkler can burn at around 1,000°C (about 2,000°F, according to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission), so an adult should always be with children, hand them one sparkler at a time, and drop finished ones in a bucket of water.
